OIL LEVEL SENSOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR


    1. Install the engine oil level sensor with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }
    2. Apply a light coat of engine oil to the O-ring of the engine oil level sensor.

    3. for 2WD:


      1. Install a new clip to the engine oil level sensor as shown in the illustration.

        Note


        • Be careful not to allow engine oil to contact the terminals.

        • Do not use a brakes cleaner or a solvent on a connector.

      2. Connect the wire harness with the 2 bolts.

        Torque:
        10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }
      3. Connect the engine oil level sensor connector.

      4. Connect the crankshaft position sensor connector.

    4. for AWD:


      1. Install a new clip to the engine oil level sensor as shown in the illustration.

        Note


        • Be careful not to allow engine oil to contact the terminals.

        • Do not use a brakes cleaner or a solvent on a connector.

      2. Connect the engine oil level sensor connector.

  2. INSTALL NO. 2 OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. ADD ENGINE OIL

  4. INSTALL OIL FILLER CAP ASSEMBLY

  5. INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK

  6. INSPECT ENGINE OIL LEVEL

  7. INSTALL STRUT BAR BRACKET SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for AWD)

  8. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE (for AWD)

  9. INSTALL NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (for AWD)

    Click here

  10. INSTALL TRANSMISSION UNDER COVER (for AWD)

    Click here

  11. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (for AWD)

  12. INSTALL STRUT BAR BRACKET SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for 2WD)

  13. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE (for 2WD)
