FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY(for Power Seat) INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING ASSEMBLY

      *a	Component without harness connected (Slide Motor (Separate Type Front Seat Cushion Spring Assembly))

      Check the operation of the slide motor.

      
      

      1. Check if the front seat cushion moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the slide motor connector terminals.

         OK
         Measurement Condition Operational Direction Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Forward Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Backward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly.

   2.

      *a	Component without harness connected (Lifter Motor (Separate Type Front Seat Cushion Spring Assembly))

      Check the operation of the lifter motor. (for Driver)

      
      

      1. Check if the front seat cushion moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the lifter motor connector terminals.

         OK
         Measurement Condition Operational Direction Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Upward Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Downward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly.

   3.

      *a	Component without harness connected (Front Vertical Motor (Separate Type Front Seat Cushion Spring Assembly))

      Check the operation of the front vertical motor. (for Driver)

      
      

      1. Check if the front seat cushion moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the front vertical motor connector terminals.

         OK
         Measurement Condition Operational Direction Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Upward Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Downward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seat cushion spring assembly.

2. INSPECT SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY

      *a	Component without harness connected (Reclining Motor (Separate Type Front Seatback Spring Assembly))

      Check the operation of the reclining motor.

      
      

      1. Check if the front seatback moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the reclining motor connector terminals.

         OK
         Measurement Condition Operational Direction Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Forward Auxiliary battery negative (+) → Terminal 2 Auxiliary battery positive (-) → Terminal 1 Rearward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seatback spring assembly.

   2.

      *a	Component without harness connected (Lumbar Support Adjuster Assembly (Separate Type Front Seatback Spring Assembly))

      Check the operation of the lumbar support adjuster assembly. (for Driver)

      
      

      1. Check that the front seatback moves smoothly when the auxiliary battery is connected to the lumbar support adjuster assembly connector terminals.

         OK
         Measurement Condition Operational Direction Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 Seatback moves forward Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 Seatback moves backward

         If the result is not as specified, replace the separate type front seatback spring assembly.
