The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during E.F.I. engine coolant temperature sensor and engine coolant temperature sensor removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE
REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE RADIATOR COVER PLATE
REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL
REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR AIR DEFLECTOR
REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR
Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.
Remove the clip and engine coolant temperature sensor from the water inlet assembly.
Note
If the engine coolant temperature sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.
Remove the gasket from the engine coolant temperature sensor.
REMOVE E.F.I. ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR
for Front:
Disconnect the E.F.I. engine coolant temperature sensor connector.
Using SST, remove the E.F.I. engine coolant temperature sensor.
Note
If the E.F.I. engine coolant temperature sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.
Remove the gasket from the E.F.I. engine coolant temperature sensor.
for Rear:
Remove the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly.
Disconnect the E.F.I. engine coolant temperature sensor connector.
Using SST, remove the E.F.I. engine coolant temperature sensor.
Note
If the E.F.I. engine coolant temperature sensor has been struck or dropped, replace it.
Remove the gasket from the E.F.I. engine coolant temperature sensor.
