GENERATOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. PRECAUTION

    Note:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized afterthe cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

  4. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

  5. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

  6. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the generator connector.

    2. Remove the terminal cap.

    3. Remove the nut and disconnect the generator wire.

      Using an E12 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts as shown in the illustration.

      Tip:

      Bolt A cannot be removed with the generator assembly installed to the vehicle.

      Remove the genrator assembly as shown in the illustration.
