This DTC is stored when the telematics transceiver detects an open or short circuit in the manual (SOS) switch.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON and wait for 10 seconds.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Check for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

  2. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the map light assembly.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  3. INSPECT MAYDAY SWITCH ASSEMBLY (MANUAL (SOS) SWITCH)


    1. Remove the mayday switch assembly (manual (SOS) switch).

    2. Inspect the mayday switch assembly (manual (SOS) switch).

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (MANUAL (SOS) SWITCH))


    1. Disconnect the F51 telematics transceiver connector.

    2. Disconnect the R4 map light assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F51-27 (SIG1) - R4-8 (SIG1) Always Below 1 Ω
      F51-26 (SIG-) - R4-1 (GND3) Always Below 1 Ω
      F51-27 (SIG1) or R4-8 (SIG1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F51-26 (SIG-) or R4-1 (GND3) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  5. REPLACE TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER
