SLIDING ROOF HOUSING REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF SIDE GARNISH LH

    1. B338922

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the sliding roof side garnish LH.

  3. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF SIDE GARNISH RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  4. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Using a T25 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 4 screws and sliding roof glass sub-assembly.

      Note:

      To prevent the sliding roof glass and sliding roof drive gear from being displaced, fully close the sliding roof glass (sliding roof drive cable), and then remove the sliding roof glass sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF WEATHERSTRIP

    1. Remove the sliding roof weatherstrip from the sliding roof panel sub-assembly.

  6. REMOVE CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH

  7. REMOVE CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  8. REMOVE REAR SIDE RAIL SPACER LH

  9. REMOVE REAR SIDE RAIL SPACER RH

    Tip:

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  10. REMOVE SLIDING ROOF HOUSING SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. B338924

      Detach the claw and disconnect the sliding roof drain hose.

      Tip:

      Use the same procedure for the other 3 sliding roof drain hoses.

    2. w/o Center Bracket:

      1. Loosen the 4 bolts on the sliding roof housing side.

        Note:

        Do not remove the bolts.

      2. Remove the 4 bolts on the vehicle interior side.

      3. Remove the 8 nuts and sliding roof housing sub-assembly.

    3. w/ Center Bracket:

      1. Loosen the 8 bolts on the sliding roof housing side.

        Note:

        Do not remove the bolts.

      2. Remove the 8 bolts on the vehicle interior side.

      3. Remove the 8 nuts and sliding roof housing sub-assembly.
