DESCRIPTION
The driving support ECU assembly uses the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly to detect obstacles in front of the vehicle.
Based on this signals from the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly, the driving support ECU assembly sends pre-crash control operation signals.
When the driving support ECU assembly receives an internal malfunction signal from the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly, DTC C1A10 is stored.

While the power switch is on (IG), the driving support ECU assembly receives information that there is a malfunction in the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly for approximately 0.2 seconds. |

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
First check the CAN communication system by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. After checking that there are no malfunctions in the CAN communication system, proceed with troubleshooting.
When the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is replaced with a new one, adjustment of the radar sensor beam axis must be performed.
When replacing the driving support ECU assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a driving support ECU assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the driving support ECU assembly will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.
PROCEDURE
REPLACE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY
Replace the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly with a new one.
Perform millimeter wave radar sensor assembly adjustment.

Clear the DTCs.

Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.
Tip:If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.
