PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WINDSHIELD WIPER RELAY ASSEMBLY - RAIN SENSOR)

    1. Disconnect the L146 windshield wiper relay assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the U12 rain sensor connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L146-14 (MPX1) - U12-1 (MPX) Always Below 1 Ω
U12-1 (MPX) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG
    OK
  2. INSPECT HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RAIN SENSOR - AUXILIARY BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

    1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      U12-4 (SIG) - U12-2 (ES) Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
