BRAKE ACTUATOR(w/o VSC) REMOVAL
PROCEDURE
PRECAUTION
Note:After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Click hereClick hereClick here).
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
Note:When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click hereClick hereClick hereClick here).
REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY
for 2AR-FE:
for 3ZR-FE:
DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
Note:Wash off brake fluid immediately if it comes in contact with any painted surface.
DISCONNECT BRAKE LINE

Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the 6 brake lines from the brake actuator.

Use tags or make a memo to identify the places to reconnect.
Tip:*1: to front wheel cylinder RH
*2: to front wheel cylinder LH
*3: to rear wheel cylinder RH
*4: to rear wheel cylinder LH
*5: from front master cylinder
*6: from rear master cylinder

REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET
Release the lock lever and disconnect the brake actuator connector.

*B
for 2AR-FE
Note:Be careful not to allow brake fluid to enter the removed connector.

Disconnect the brake tube clamp from the bracket.

Remove the 3 nuts and actuator with bracket.
Note:Be careful not to damage the brake tubes.
