AIR CONDITIONING PANEL (for Manual Air Conditioning System) REMOVAL

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


  1. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY


    1. for Manual Air Conditioning System:

        *1 Protective Tape

        Put protective tape around the center instrument cluster finish panel.

      2. Using a moulding remover, detach the 10 claws and 4 clips.

      3. A01E1XL

        Detach the 4 claws and disconnect the air conditioner control.

      4. Disconnect the connectors and remove the center instrument cluster finish panel.

    2. for Automatic Air Conditioning System:


      1. A01DYRHE01

        *1 Protective Tape

        Put protective tape around the center instrument cluster finish panel.

      2. Using a moulding remover, detach the 8 claws and 4 clips.

      3. Disconnect the connectors and remove the center instrument cluster finish panel.

  2. REMOVE COOLER SWITCH


    1. A01DWVS

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the cooler switch (air conditioning switch).

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER CONTROL KNOB

    1. Remove the No. 2 heater control knob as shown in the illustration.

  4. REMOVE HEATER CONTROL KNOB

    1. Remove the heater control knob as shown in the illustration.

  5. DISCONNECT AIR INLET DAMPER CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Detach the 2 claws and disconnect the air inlet damper control cable sub-assembly.

  6. DISCONNECT HEATER CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Detach the 2 claws and disconnect the heater control cable sub-assembly.

  7. DISCONNECT AIR MIX DAMPER CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Heater)

    1. Detach the 2 claws and disconnect the air mix damper control cable sub-assembly.

  8. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the connector and remove the air conditioning control assembly.
