AIRBAG CUT-OFF SWITCH REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. PRECAUTION

   CAUTION:

   Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing Click here.

   Note

   After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Click here.

2. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY

3. REMOVE NO. 1 DECK BOARD

   Click here

4. REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD

   Click here

5. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX

   Click here

6. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH

   Click here

7. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

   CAUTION:

   Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

   Note

   When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

   Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side Click here.

9. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH

   Tech Tips

   Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side Click here.

10. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

    Tech Tips

    Disconnect the front door opening trim weatherstrip RH to the extent that allows the removal of the instrument panel finish panel end RH.

11. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX ASSEMBLY

13. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH

14. REMOVE AIRBAG CUT OFF SWITCH CYLINDER SUB-ASSEMBLY

    
    

    1. 

       Disengage the 2 claws to remove the airbag cut off switch cylinder sub-assembly.
