The rotation angle sensor detects the motor rotation angle and sends this information to the power steering ECU assembly.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (ROTATION ANGLE SENSOR - POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY)

      Check the connection condition of the z2 rotation angle sensor connector.

      Rotation angle sensor connector is securely connected to the power steering ECU assembly.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (MOTOR ROTATION ANGLE)


    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Start the engine.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Chassis / EMPS / Data List.

  3. CHECK STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the z2 rotation angle sensor connector from the power steering ECU assembly.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
