ROOF SUNSHADE SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
The roof sunshade system controls the roof sunshade operation using the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly. Operating the map light assembly results in electrical power being transmitted to the sliding roof drive gear sub-assembly.
FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT
The roof sunshade system consists of the following components:

SYSTEM FUNCTION
The roof sunshade system has the following features.
| Function | Outline |

| Manual open and close | This function causes the roof sunshade to open (or close) when the open switch (or close switch) is pressed for a maximum of 0.3 seconds. The roof sunshade stops as soon as the switch is released. |
| Auto open and close* | This function causes the roof sunshade to be fully open (or closed) when the open switch (or close switch) is pressed for a minimum of 0.3 seconds. |
| Jam protection | The jam protection function automatically stops the roof sunshade and moves it to the halfway open or fully open position if a foreign matter gets jammed in the roof sunshade during close operation. |
| Overload Stop | When a load above a certain amount is detected during an open operation, such as when contacting an obstacle, this function stops the open operation. |
