B2761 Intrusion Sensor Internal Circuit Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

  • The intrusion sensor conducts a self-diagnosis immediately after power is supplied to the sensor (when the theft deterrent system is set).

  • If a malfunction is detected in the intrusion wave transmission or wave reception, or the intrusion sensor wave transmission or wave reception circuit, the intrusion sensor sends a signal to the main body ECU (instrument panel junction block assembly). The ECU then stores this DTC.

  • Map light assembly (Intrusion sensor)

  • Main body ECU (Instrument panel junction block assembly)

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK FOR DTC

    1. Set the theft deterrent system and check if the same DTC is output.

      OK

      DTC B2761 is not output.

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK

    (Click here)

  2. CHECK MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (INTRUSION SENSOR)

    1. Temporarily replace the map light assembly with a new or normally functioning one (Click here).

    2. Check if DTC B2761 is output.

      OK

      DTC B2761 is not output.

    END (MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY [INTRUSION SENSOR] IS FAULTY)

    REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)
