  1. CHECK VACUUM PUMP

      Slide the clip and disconnect the vacuum hose from the vacuum pump union.

    2. Connect the hose of a vacuum gauge to the vacuum pump union.

    3. Insert a plug into the other hose of the vacuum gauge.

    4. Start the engine and warm it up for more than 2 minutes.

    5. With the engine idling, check the negative pressure of the vacuum pump.

      Standard negative pressure
      More than 86.7 kPa (650 mmHg, 25.59 in.Hg)

      Tech Tips

      It is necessary to replace the vacuum pump blades every 200000 km (124000 miles).

    6. Remove the vacuum gauge from the vacuum pump union.

    7. Connect the vacuum hose to the vacuum pump union with the clip.
