    2. Daytime Running Light System (Models with Daytime Running Light System)


      1. The daytime running light system is designed to automatically illuminate the daytime running lights, during the daytime to keep the vehicle highly visible to other vehicles.

      2. The daytime running light system uses LEDs as its light source. This system consists of LEDs and LED driver modules.

      3. To enhance the conspicuousness of the turn signal lights while the daytime running lights are on, the daytime running light on the same side as a flashing turn signal light is extinguished while the turn signal light is flashing. Note that when the hazard warning lights are flashing, both daytime running lights are extinguished.*

    3. LED Headlight System


      1. An LED headlight system, capable of instant illumination and of ensuring a long service life, is used for the high beam/low beam headlights. This system consists of LEDs and LED driver modules.

      2. Bi-function increases the upper illumination area of the headlight LED when the high beam is turned on.

      3. The fail-safe function is provided in case that problem occurs in the LED headlight system.

    4. Automatic Headlight Beam Level Control System


      1. When the headlights are on, the automatic headlight beam level control system operates the headlight leveling motors in accordance with movement of the vehicle.

      2. The fail-safe function is provided in case that problem occurs in the automatic headlight beam level control system.

    5. Automatic Light Control System (Models with Automatic Light Control System)


      1. When the light control switch is in the AUTO position, the automatic light control sensor detects the ambient light level and automatically turns the headlights, taillights, clearance lights, side marker lights* and license plate lights on or off accordingly.

      2. This system is controlled by the main body ECU (network gateway ECU).

    6. Follow Me Home System (Models for Europe)


      1. This system is designed to illuminate the low beam headlights for certain period after the vehicle parked.

    7. Light Auto Turn-off System


      1. The light auto turn-off system is used to prevent the driver from leaving the vehicle with the headlights, clearance lights, side marker lights*1, front fog lights*2, taillights, rear fog light*3 and license plate lights on.

    8. Light Reminder System


      1. When the driver door is opened with either the headlights or the taillights turned on when the ignition switch is turned off, the buzzer sounds to prevent the driver from forgetting to turn off the lights.

    9. Emergency Brake Signal (Except models for Korea)


      1. The hazard warning lights flash automatically in the case of emergency braking to alert following drivers, thus helping to reduce rear-end accidents.
