  1. CONSTRUCTION


    1. A vacuum pump assembly is used as a result of the low vacuum in the intake manifold due to direct injection being used to ensure fuel economy. This ensures sufficient vacuum for the brake booster.

    2. The vacuum pump assembly is installed on the rear end face of the engine and driven by the exhaust camshaft.

    3. By using a bolt with a smaller than usual head size for the vacuum pump assembly, the vacuum pump assembly has been made more compact and lighter.
