PARKING BRAKE LEVER INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY

   1. Install the parking brake switch assembly to the parking brake lever sub-assembly with the screw.

      0.9 N*m

      9 kgf*cm

      8 in.*lbf

2. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

   1. Install the parking brake lever sub-assembly with the 2 bolts.

      29 N*m

      296 kgf*cm

      21 ft.*lbf

   2. Connect the parking brake switch assembly connector.

   3. Engage the clamp.

3. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE EQUALIZER

   1. Install the parking brake equalizer.

   2. Connect the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly and No. 3 parking brake cable assembly to the parking brake equalizer.

   3. Temporarily install a new No. 2 wire adjusting nut.

      Note:

      If the No. 2 wire adjusting nut has been removed from the rod, replace the No. 2 wire adjusting nut with a new one.

4. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE LEVER TRAVEL

5. INSPECT BRAKE WARNING LIGHT

6. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY
