  1. CONSTRUCTION


    1. Connecting rod sub-assemblies that have been forged for high strength are used for weight reduction.

    2. Knock pins are used at the mating surfaces of the connecting rod caps to minimize the shifting of the connecting rod caps during assembly.

    3. A tapered design is used for the small end of the connecting rod to reduce weight.

    4. Resin coated aluminum connecting rod bearings are used for the connecting rod bearings.

    5. Lead-free materials have been used for the connecting rod sub-assembly, small end bushing and connecting rod bearing in consideration of environmental issues.
