CAUTION:

Do not remove the radiator cap sub-assembly, cylinder block water drain cock plug or radiator drain cock plug while the engine and radiator assembly are still hot. Pressurized, hot engine coolant and steam may be released and cause serious burns.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY

  2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

  3. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE


    1. Slide the hose clamp and disconnect the No. 1 radiator hose from the water outlet.

  4. REMOVE WATER OUTLET

    1. Remove the 3 bolts, water outlet and gasket.

  5. REMOVE THERMOSTAT


    1. Remove the thermostat with gasket.

    2. Remove the gasket from the thermostat.
