    Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

  • There is risk of injury.

  • If the front seat side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate type front seatback frame sub-assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.

  • Replace any other damaged parts as necessary.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for Lo-back Seat Type)


    1. Remove the front seat headrest assembly.

  2. REMOVE SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP LH

      Remove the 2 seat adjuster cover caps LH in the removal direction shown in the illustration.

  3. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH

      w/ Vertical Adjusting Handle LH:


      1. With the reclining adjuster release handle LH pulled up.

      2. Using a thin-bladed screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle LH while moving it in the removal direction shown in the illustration.

      w/o Vertical Adjusting Handle LH:


      1. Using a thin-bladed screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle LH while moving it in the removal direction shown in the illustration.

  4. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE LH (w/ Vertical Adjusting Handle LH)

      Remove the screw.

      Detach the guide, and then pull out removal direction shown in the illustration to remove the vertical adjusting handle LH.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

      Using moulding remover A, lift in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration and push down in the removal direction to detach the claw.

      1. Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration and pull out the remove direction to detach the guide, claw and clip.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH

      Remove the 4 bolts and front seatback frame sub-assembly LH.

  9. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

      Rotate the part in removal direction (1) shown in the illustration to detach the guide.

    2. Pull up in removal direction (2) shown in the illustration to remove the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  10. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  11. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SEATBACK HOOK (for Lo-back Seat Type)

      Using moulding remover A, lift in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration detach the claw to removal the front No. 1 seatback hook.

  12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT (for Lo-back Seat Type)

      Remove the 5 hog rings.

      Open the fasteners as shown in the illustration.

      1. Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration and pull in the removal direction to detach the J hook B.

  18. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for Lo-back Seat Type)

      Detach the claw and remove the 2 front seatback edge protectors.

      Pull out removal direction (1) shown in the illustration to separate the front seatback spring sub-assembly LH.

    3. Pull down removal direction (2) shown in the illustration to remove the front seatback spring sub-assembly LH.

    4. Remove the 2 front No. 2 seatback hooks.

  19. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK EDGE PROTECTOR (for Lo-back Seat Type)

      Using a thin-bladed screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the claw and remove the 2 front seatback edge protectors.

  20. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD


    1. While sliding the part in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, detach the J hook and remove the seat cushion cover with pad.

  21. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

      Remove the 2 hog rings and disconnect the 2 straps of the separate type front seat cushion cover from the separate type front seat cushion pad.

      Remove the 18 hog rings and separate type front seat cushion cover.

  22. REMOVE SEAT COVER WIRE

      Remove the seat cover wire.

  23. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH (w/ Vertical Adjusting Handle LH)

  25. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH

    2. While rotating the part in removal direction (1) shown in the illustration, detach the claw.

    3. Pull out removal direction (2) shown in the illustration to detach the guide and remove the front seat cushion edge protector LH.

  26. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH
