Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
The following procedure is for the LH side.
PROCEDURE
REMOVE HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Automatic Headlight Beam Level Control System)
REMOVE HEADLIGHT GASKET (w/ Automatic Headlight Beam Level Control System)
REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB
w/ Automatic Headlight Beam Level Control System:

Disconnect in this Direction |
Turn the headlight cord with the front turn signal light bulb as shown in the illustration to disconnect them as a unit.
Remove the front turn signal light bulb from the headlight cord.
w/o Automatic Headlight Beam Level Control System:

Disconnect in this Direction |
Turn the front turn signal light socket with the front turn signal light bulb as shown in the illustration to remove them as a unit.
Remove the front turn signal light bulb from the front turn signal light socket.
REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT SOCKET (w/o Automatic Headlight Beam Level Control System)
REMOVE HEADLIGHT PROTECTOR
Remove the headlight protector.
REMOVE HEADLIGHT LENS
Note
Make sure to wear clean rubber gloves when performing this procedure.
Do not allow dirt or foreign matter to get on the headlight lens.
If there are any fingerprints or foreign matter on the back of the headlight lens, wipe them off with a soft cloth.
Remove the 8 screws.
Using a hair dryer, heat the backside of the headlight assembly.
Note
If the headlight assembly is heated unevenly, it will deform or melt.
Disengage the 9 claws.
Remove the headlight lens from the housing.
Tech Tips
If the headlight lens cannot be removed even after heating, using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, lift the headlight lens. Be careful not to damage the headlight lens and housing.
REMOVE HEADLIGHT LENS GASKET
Remove the headlight lens gasket from the housing.
Note
Make sure to replace the headlight lens gasket with a new one. Failure to do so may cause water ingress.
REMOVE HEADLIGHT REFLECTOR
Note
Make sure to wear clean rubber gloves when performing this procedure.
Do not allow dirt or foreign matter to get on the headlight reflector or other components.
If there are any fingerprints or foreign matter on the headlight reflector or other components, wipe them off with a soft cloth.

Remove in this Direction |
Remove the screw.
Disengage the 2 guides to remove the headlight reflector as shown in the illustration.
REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT CLEARANCE LED UNIT
Note
Make sure to wear clean rubber gloves when performing this procedure.
Do not allow dirt or foreign matter to get on the No. 1 headlight clearance LED unit or other components.
If there are any fingerprints or foreign matter on the No. 1 headlight clearance LED unit or other components, wipe them off with a soft cloth.
Disconnect the 2 connectors.
Remove the 2 screws.

Disengage the guide to remove the No. 1 headlight clearance LED unit as shown in the illustration.
REMOVE HEADLIGHT LED UNIT ASSEMBLY
Note
Make sure to wear clean rubber gloves when performing this procedure.
Do not allow dirt or foreign matter to get on the headlight LED unit assembly or other components.
If there are any fingerprints or foreign matter on the headlight LED unit assembly or other components, wipe them off with a soft cloth.
Disengage the 2 clamps.
Disengage the pivot collar.

Turn in this Direction |
While holding the headlight LED unit assembly by hand, turn the aiming screws as shown in the illustration until the aiming screws are disconnected from the headlight LED unit assembly.
Tech Tips
Make sure to remember the number of aiming screw rotations.
Disconnect the 2 connectors.
Disengage the 3 clamps.

Disengage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.
Disconnect the connector to remove the headlight LED unit assembly from the housing.
REMOVE LIGHT CONTROL ECU (w/o Automatic Headlight Beam Level Control System)
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the 2 screws and light control ECU.
