SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. SECURE VEHICLE

    1. Fully apply the parking brake and chock a wheel.

      CAUTION:

      • Make sure to apply the parking brake and chock a wheel before performing this procedure.

      • If the vehicle is not secure, the vehicle may suddenly move, possibly resulting in an accident or serious injury.

  2. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (for Hatchback, Wagon)

  3. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (for Sedan)

  4. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS (for LHD)

      Disengage the 4 clamps to disconnect the wire harness from the floor shift lever assembly.

  5. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS (for RHD)

      Disengage the 3 clamps to disconnect the wire harness from the floor shift lever assembly.

  6. DISCONNECT TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

      Remove the clip and disconnect the transmission control select cable from the floor shift lever assembly.

    2. C272848

      Disconnect the transmission control shift cable from the floor shift lever assembly.

    3. C272824

      Disengage the 2 claws and disconnect the transmission control cable assembly from the floor shift lever assembly.

  7. REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY

    1. C272827

      Remove the 4 bolts and floor shift lever assembly from the vehicle body.
