PRECAUTION
Note
After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
DRAIN COOLANT (for Intercooler)
REMOVE FRONT BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY
REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
REMOVE BATTERY CLAMP SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE BATTERY INSULATOR
REMOVE BATTERY
REMOVE BATTERY TRAY
REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)
DISCONNECT FRONT RADIATOR SIDE AIR GUIDE PLATE RH
Detach the clamp to disconnect the thermistor assembly from the front radiator side air guide plate RH.
Detach the 3 claws and remove the front radiator side air guide plate RH.
REMOVE FRONT RADIATOR SIDE AIR GUIDE PLATE LH
Detach the 3 claws and remove the front radiator side air guide plate LH.
REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT
Remove the 2 bolts, 2 upper radiator supports and 2 radiator support cushions
DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY
Detach the 5 clamps and disconnect the connector.

Remove the 3 bolts and disconnect the hood lock assembly from the upper radiator support sub-assembly.
Detach the clamp and disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly from the upper radiator support sub-assembly.
REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the 2 connectors.

w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System:
Detach the 3 clamps.
w/o Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System:
Detach the 2 clamps.
Remove the 5 bolts and upper radiator support sub-assembly.
DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE
Slide the clip and disconnect the water by-pass hose from the radiator reservoir assembly.
REMOVE WATER BY-PASS PIPE

Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 3 water by-pass hose from the radiator assembly.
Slide the water by-pass pipe upward as shown in the illustration, detach the 3 clamps and remove the water by-pass pipe from the No. 2 fan shroud.
Note
Do not pull the water by-pass pipe toward the rear of the vehicle, as doing so may damage the clamps.
REMOVE NO. 2 FAN SHROUD
Detach the 2 claws and remove the 2 bolts and No. 2 fan shroud from the radiator assembly.
REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REINFORCEMENT RH
REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER REINFORCEMENT LH
REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION CROSSMEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the 6 bolts and front suspension crossmember sub-assembly.
DISCONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE
Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose from the radiator assembly.
DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE
Detach the clamp.
Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 1 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.
DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE
Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.
DISCONNECT NO. 2 INTERCOOLER COOLING WATER HOSE ASSEMBLY
Detach the 3 clamps.
Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 2 intercooler cooling water hose assembly from the intercooler cooling radiator assembly.
DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS
Detach the 7 clamps and disconnect the 2 connectors and wire harness.
DISCONNECT INTERCOOLER RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY
Remove the 2 bolts and intercooler reservoir assembly from the fan shroud.
REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY WITH FAN

Move the LH side of the intercooler cooling radiator assembly and condenser assembly toward the front of the vehicle and pull up the radiator assembly with fan to remove it.
Note
Do not apply any excessive force to the intercooler cooling radiator assembly, condenser assembly and cooler pipe.
Do not move the intercooler cooling radiator assembly and condenser assembly LH toward the front of the vehicle more than necessary.
REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY
Remove the 2 bolts and radiator assembly from the fan shroud with fan.
Note
Do not damage the core of the radiator assembly.
REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT
Remove the 2 lower radiator supports.
