OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR GLASS INSPECTION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR LH


    1. B0058I0C01
      *a

      Component without harness connected

      (Outer Mirror LH)

      Check the outer mirror heater operation. (w/ Mirror Heater)


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1 - 2 25°C (77°F) 6.8 to 10.2 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the outer mirror LH.

    2. Check EC mirror operation. (w/ EC Mirror)


      1. Connect a new 1.5 V dry-cell battery.

      2. B005ABEC01

        Component without harness connected

        (Outer Mirror LH)

        Apply 1.5 V battery voltage to the terminals of the connector, and check that the EC mirror operation.

        Note

        Do not apply a voltage of higher than 1.5 V.

        OK
        Tester Connection Specified Condition

        Positive (+) end of the 1.5 V dry-cell battery → Terminal 2

        Negative (-) end of the 1.5 V dry-cell battery → Terminal 3

        		 Mirror surface becomes dark

        If the result is not as specified, replace the outer mirror LH.

  2. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR RH

      Component without harness connected

      (Outer Mirror RH)

      Check the outer mirror heater operation. (w/ Mirror Heater)


      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1 - 2 25°C (77°F) 6.8 to 10.2 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the outer mirror RH.

    2. Check EC mirror operation. (w/ EC Mirror)


      1. Connect a new 1.5 V dry-cell battery.

        Component without harness connected

        (Outer Mirror RH)

        Apply 1.5 V battery voltage to the terminals of the connector, and check that the EC mirror operation.

        Note

        Do not apply a voltage of higher than 1.5 V.

        OK
        Tester Connection Specified Condition

        Positive (+) end of the 1.5 V dry-cell battery → Terminal 2

        Negative (-) end of the 1.5 V dry-cell battery → Terminal 3

        		 Mirror surface becomes dark

        If the result is not as specified, replace the outer mirror RH.
