INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING GEAR BOLT

Identification Mark
There are several different types of camshaft timing gear bolt. Make sure to check the identification mark to determine the tightening torque.

Make sure that the No. 1 cylinder is at the TDC/compression.
Tip:Check that the cutout of the camshaft timing gear assembly is at the top and align the timing mark (cutout) of the crankshaft pulley with the protrusion on the timing chain cover assembly.

Apply engine oil to the areas of the camshaft timing gear bolt shown in the illustration.
While holding the crankshaft pulley, install the camshaft timing gear bolt.

Note:If the camshaft timing gear bolt has been struck or dropped, replace it.
Do not use an impact wrench.
If there is any abnormal resistance when installing the camshaft timing gear bolt, loosen it and make sure that the No. 1 cylinder is at TDC/compression, and then install the camshaft timing gear bolt again.
Engage the clamp to install the wire harness clamp bracket to the engine wire.

INSPECT FOR ENGINE OIL LEAK
