Particulate Filter Pressure Sensor "A" Circuit Voltage Out of Range

Differential pressure sensor value at intake air flow of 65 gm/sec* or higher is below 0 kPa for 5 seconds or more (1 trip detection logic).

  • Incorrect vacuum transmitting hose assembly

  • Differential pressure sensor

Does not come on

DTC stored

SAE Code: P2453

*: The total value of Mass Air Flow Sensor.

MONITOR DESCRIPTION

When the differential pressure sensor output is output with the positive and negative values reversed, incorrect connection of the differential pressure sensor and vacuum transmitting hose assembly is judged and the ECM stores a DTC.

CONFIRMATION DRIVING PATTERN

  1. A288927E66
  2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

  3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  4. Turn the GTS on.

  5. Clear the DTCs (even if no DTCs are stored, perform the clear DTC procedure).

  6. Turn the ignition switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.

  7. Turn the ignition switch to ON [A].

  8. Turn the GTS on.

  9. Start the engine and warm it up until the engine coolant temperature reaches 75°C (167°F) or higher [B].

  10. With the shift position in 2nd, drive the vehicle at 60 to 80 km/h (37 to 50 mph) for 10 seconds or more [C].

    CAUTION:

When performing the confirmation driving pattern, obey all speed limits and traffic laws.

  11. Turn the GTS on.

  12. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes [D].

  13. Read the pending DTCs.

    Tip:
    • If a pending DTC is output, the system is malfunctioning.

    • If a pending DTC is not output, perform the following procedure.

  14. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Utility / All Readiness.

  15. Input the DTC: P24521C.

  16. Check the DTC judgment result.

    Description

    NORMAL

    • DTC judgment completed

    • System normal

    ABNORMAL

    • DTC judgment completed

    • System abnormal

    INCOMPLETE

    • DTC judgment not completed

    • Perform driving pattern after confirming DTC enabling conditions

    Tip:
    • If the judgment result is NORMAL, the system is normal.

    • If the judgment result is ABNORMAL, the system has a malfunction.

    • If the judgment result is INCOMPLETE, perform steps [C] and [D] again.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Tip:

Read Freeze Frame Data using the GTS. The ECM records vehicle and driving condition information as Freeze Frame Data the moment a DTC is stored. When troubleshooting, Freeze Frame Data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, if the air fuel ratio was lean or rich, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK ANY OTHER DTCS OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P24521C)

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.

    5. Read the DTCs.
