An RC61 6-speed manual transmission is used.
An output reduction method is used to achieve a compact construction and weight reduction.
The gear range has been expanded due to the gear layout of the 4th gear direct coupling and double overdrive (5th and 6th gears), achieving superior fuel economy and driveability.
A multi-cone synchromesh mechanism has been provided for the low gears (1st, 2nd and 3rd) to achieve a superior shift feeling.
An intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT) system is used. This system adjusts the engine speed during a shift change to match the transmission speed, achieving a smooth shift change.

PRECAUTION
Limitations of the iMT
iMT is not a system that prevents shift lever operation error or engine overrevving. Depending on the situation, iMT may not operate normally and the shift position may not be changed smoothly. Overly relying on iMT may cause an unexpected accident.
