BRAKE PEDAL(for LHD) REASSEMBLY

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL PAD

   1. Install the brake pedal pad to the brake pedal sub-assembly.

2. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL BUSHING (for Manual Transaxle)

   1. 

      Lithium Soap Base Glycol Grease

      Apply lithium soap base glycol grease to 4 new brake pedal bushings.

   2. Install the 4 brake pedal bushings to the brake pedal sub-assembly and clutch pedal sub-assembly.

3. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL SHAFT COLLAR (for Manual Transaxle)

   1. Install the 2 brake pedal shaft collars to the brake pedal sub-assembly and clutch pedal sub-assembly.

4. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)

   1. 

      Install the brake pedal sub-assembly and clutch pedal sub-assembly to the brake pedal support sub-assembly with the brake pedal shaft and nut.

      24.2 N*m

      247 kgf*cm

      18 ft.*lbf

      Note:

      Insert the brake pedal shaft in the correct direction.

5. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL BUSHING (for Multi-Mode Manual Transaxle)

   1. 

      Lithium Soap Base Glycol Grease

      Apply lithium soap base glycol grease to 2 new brake pedal bushings.

   2. Install the 2 brake pedal bushings to the brake pedal sub-assembly.

6. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL SHAFT COLLAR (for Multi-Mode Manual Transaxle)

   1. Install the brake pedal shaft collar to the brake pedal sub-assembly.

7. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Multi-Mode Manual Transaxle)

   1. 

      Install the brake pedal sub-assembly to the brake pedal support sub-assembly with the brake pedal shaft and nut.

      24.2 N*m

      247 kgf*cm

      18 ft.*lbf

      Note:

      Insert the brake pedal shaft in the correct direction.

8. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL STOPPER BOLT (for Manual Transaxle)

   1. Install the clutch pedal stopper bolt and clutch pedal stopper nut to the brake pedal support sub-assembly and temporarily tighten the clutch pedal stopper nut.

      Tip:

      Fully tighten the clutch pedal stopper nut when adjusting the clutch pedal height.
