DIFFERENTIAL OIL SEAL(for RH Side) REPLACEMENT

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE TRANSFER ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL RH

      Protective Tape

      Outer:

      1. Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, pry out the transaxle case oil seal RH.

        Note:

        Be careful not to damage the housing.

        Tip:

        Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. C139837C01

      Inner:

      1. Using SST, tap out the transaxle case oil seal RH.

        Be careful not to damage the housing.

  4. INSTALL TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL RH

    1. C188860C01

      Inner:

      1. Coat the lip of a new transaxle case oil RH seal with MP grease.

      2. Using SST and a hammer, tap in the transaxle case oil seal RH.

        Standard depth

        21.5 to 22.5 mm (0.847 to 0.885 in.)

    2. C188861N02

      Outer:

      1. Coat the lip of a new transaxle case oil seal RH with MP grease.

      2. Using SST and a hammer, tap in the transaxle case oil seal RH.

        Standard depth

        5.5 to 6.5 mm (0.217 to 0.255 in.)

        Note:

        Make sure that the transaxle oil seal RH is installed in the correct direction.
