DESCRIPTION

The ECM and driving support ECU assembly communicate signals with each sensor and ECU via CAN communication.

If there are any malfunctions in the communication circuit, one or more CAN communication system DTCs are output.

U1104	Lost Communication with Driving Support ECU	Condition 1: While the vehicle speed is 5 km/h (3 mph) or more and the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating, a communication error between the driving support ECU assembly and the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is detected for approximately 0.92 seconds or more. Condition 2: While the vehicle speed is 5 km/h (3 mph) or more and the dynamic radar cruise control system is operating, a communication error between the driving support ECU assembly and ECM is detected for 0.144 seconds or more. CHECK FOR DTCs

Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Clear the DTCs.

1. for 2AD-FHV, 2AD-FTV:
  
  Powertrain > Radar Cruise1 > Clear DTCs
  
  Powertrain > Radar Cruise2 > Clear DTCs
2. for 2AR-FE, 3ZR-FE, 3ZR-FAE:
  
  Powertrain > Radar Cruise1 > Clear DTCs
  
  Powertrain > Radar Cruise2 > Clear DTCs
3. for 2WW:
  
  Powertrain > Cruise Control > Clear DTCs
  
  Powertrain > Radar Cruise2 > Clear DTCs
Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.
Tip:
If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
2. Turn the dynamic radar cruise control system on using the cruise control switch (ON/OFF).
3. Drive the vehicle at 5 km/h (3 mph) or more for 5 seconds or more.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Radar Cruise2 / Trouble Codes.
Check the DTCs.
