  1. WINDSHIELD DEICER SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

    The windshield deicer system thin heater wires are attached to the inside of the front window and deice the window surface quickly. The system may operate for a maximum of 15 minutes, depending on conditions such as ambient temperature.

    Tip:

    For vehicles without the navigation system, the indicator light illuminates while the system is operating.

    Multi-display Assembly (Windshield Deicer Switch)

    Sends signals to the multi-media module receiver assembly to operatethe windshield deicer.

    Multi-media Module Receiver Assembly

    Sends signals to the air conditioning amplifier assembly to operate thewindshield deicer.

    Front Wiper Deicer Relay (DEICER)

    Receives windshield deicer activation request signals from the airconditioning amplifier assembly and supplies power to the windshieldglass (windshield deicer wire).

    Windshield Glass (Windshield Deicer Wire)

    Receives power from the front wiper deicer relay (DEICER) and heatsthe windshield glass (windshield deicer wire).
