  • Both of the following conditions are met:

  • The blind spot monitor main switch (multi-function switch) is on.

  • The blind spot monitor sensor is not sending voltage to the indicator but the indicator receives voltage above a specified level for a specified period of time.

  • Outer rear view mirror LH (outer rear view mirror indicator LH)

  • Outer rear view mirror assembly LH

  • Harness or connector

  • Blind spot monitor sensor LH

  • Outer mirror control ECU assembly LH

Note:

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch (multi-function switch) is on.

  1. CHECK DTC

    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      OK

      DTC C1AB0 is not output.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR LH)

    1. Disconnect the R44 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH)

    1. Disconnect the R44 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the IND1 outer rear view mirror LH connector.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the R44 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the z3 outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    2. Disconnect the K8 outer mirror control ECU assembly LH connector.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
