EXHAUST PIPE REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during front exhaust pipe assembly, center exhaust pipe assembly, tail exhaust pipe assembly and No. 2 tail exhaust pipe assembly removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (w/ Differential Pressure Sensor)

  2. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Rear Heated Oxygen Sensor)

  3. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE DAMPER

    CAUTION:

    To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust pipe or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.

      Remove the 2 bolts and exhaust pipe damper from the tail exhaust pipe assembly.

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

    CAUTION:

    To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust pipe or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.

      Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the No. 2 tail exhaust pipe assembly from the tail exhaust pipe assembly.

    2. Remove the No. 2 tail exhaust pipe assembly from the 2 exhaust pipe supports.

    3. Remove the exhaust pipe gasket from the tail exhaust pipe assembly.

  5. REMOVE TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

    CAUTION:

    To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust pipe or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.

      Remove the 2 bolts and 2 compression springs and disconnect the tail exhaust pipe assembly from the center exhaust pipe assembly.

    2. Remove the tail exhaust pipe assembly from the 2 exhaust pipe supports.

    3. Remove the exhaust pipe gasket from the center exhaust pipe assembly.

  6. REMOVE CENTER EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

    CAUTION:

    To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust pipe or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.

      Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the center exhaust pipe assembly from the front exhaust pipe assembly.

    2. Remove the center exhaust pipe assembly from the 2 exhaust pipe supports.

    3. Remove the exhaust pipe gasket from the front exhaust pipe sub-assembly.

  7. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

    CAUTION:

    To prevent burns, do not touch the engine, exhaust pipe or other high temperature components while the engine is hot.


    1. w/ Canister Pump Module:


      1. B007XAC

        Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.

      2. Disengage the wire harness clamp.

      3. B007Z14

        Remove the 2 bolts, 2 compression springs and front exhaust pipe assembly from the exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly.

      4. Remove the exhaust pipe gasket from the exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly.

    2. w/o Canister Pump Module:

        Remove the 2 bolts, 2 compression springs and front exhaust pipe assembly from the exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly.

      2. Remove the exhaust pipe gasket from the exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly.

  8. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (w/o Differential Pressure Sensor)
