REAR SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
The following procedure is for the LH side.
The rear speed sensor rotor is a component of the rear axle hub and bearing assembly. If the rear speed sensor rotor is malfunctioning, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

PRECAUTION
Note:After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Note:When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.
REMOVE REAR WHEEL
REMOVE FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (for 3 Door)
REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH (for 5 Door)
REMOVE REAR SPEED SENSOR

Wire Harness Clamp
Disconnect the rear speed sensor connector.
Disengage the clamp to separate the rear speed sensor connector from the vehicle body.
Remove the wire harness clamp from the rear speed sensor connector.

Disengage the grommet and remove the rear speed sensor from the inside of the vehicle.

Disengage the 3 grommets from the 3 sensor brackets.

Disengage the rear speed sensor clamp from the rear axle beam assembly.
Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the "TORX" bolt and rear speed sensor.
Note:Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the rear speed sensor tip.
Clean the speed sensor installation hole and the contact surfaces every time the rear speed sensor is removed.
