FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY REMOVAL
PROCEDURE
PRECAUTION
Note:After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.
REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY
DISCONNECT INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER AIRBAG CONNECTOR
Check that the ignition switch is off.
Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.
CAUTION:Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

Slider
Slide the slider to release the lock, and then disconnect the instrument panel passenger airbag connector.
Note:When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
REMOVE UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY
REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
CAUTION:When storing the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.

Remove the 2 screws.

Lean the upper instrument panel assembly and disengage the 3 hooks.

Disengage the 3 hooks to remove the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly from the upper instrument panel assembly.
