REAR LOWER ARM INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH


    1. B006GRU

      Insert the rear suspension arm attachment sub-assembly from the back of the vehicle. Then temporarily tighten the rear No. 2 suspension toe adjust plate and rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly LH with the nut.

    2. B006A9R

      Insert the bolt from the front of the vehicle. Then temporarily tighten the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly LH with the washer and nut.

  2. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH


    1. B006DJQ

      Temporarily tighten the rear stabilizer link assembly LH to the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly LH with the bolt and nut.

  3. CONNECT REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Install the rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH to the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly LH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

  4. CONNECT REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (w/ AVS)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  5. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN LOWER CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLY LH

      B006AHR Bolt
      B006EC9 Nut

      Insert the bolt from the back of the vehicle. Then temporarily tighten the lower control arm assembly LH with the nut.

    2. B006ASG

      Temporarily tighten the lower control arm assembly LH with a new nut.

  6. STABILIZE SUSPENSION

  7. FULLY TIGHTEN LOWER CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLY LH

      B006AHR Bolt
      B006EC9 Nut

      Fully tighten the lower control arm assembly LH with the bolt.

      Torque:
      126 N*m  { 1285 kgf*cm, 93 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Because the nut has its own stopper, do not turn the nut. Tighten the bolt with the nut secured.

    2. B006ASG

      Fully tighten the nut.

      Torque:
      118 N*m  { 1203 kgf*cm, 87 ft.*lbf }

  8. FULLY TIGHTEN REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH


    1. B006GRU

      Fully tighten the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly LH with the nut.

      Torque:
      213 N*m  { 2172 kgf*cm, 157 ft.*lbf }
    2. B006A9R

      Fully tighten the nut.

      Torque:
      165 N*m  { 1683 kgf*cm, 122 ft.*lbf }

  9. FULLY TIGHTEN REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH

      Fully tighten the nut.

      Torque:
      24 N*m  { 245 kgf*cm, 18 ft.*lbf }

  10. INSTALL NO. 2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR

  12. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT

  13. INSPECT AND ADJUST VEHICLE HEIGHT (w/ Air Suspension)

  14. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
