REAR SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. PRECAUTION

   Note:

   After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

   Note:

   When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

3. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

4. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

5. LOOSEN NO. 2 WIRE ADJUSTING NUT

6. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE LEVER PROTECTOR (for Double Wishbone Type Suspension)

7. SEPARATE NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

   for Torsion Beam Type Suspension:Click hereClick here

8. SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY

   for Torsion Beam Type Suspension:Click here

   for Double Wishbone Type Suspension:Click here

9. REMOVE REAR DISC

10. DISCONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE (for Torsion Beam Type Suspension)

    1. 

       Using a screwdriver, disconnect the connector from the rear speed sensor.

       Note:

       Be careful not to damage the rear speed sensor.

11. DISCONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE (for Double Wishbone Type Suspension)

    1. 

       Using a screwdriver, disconnect the connector from the rear speed sensor.

       Note:

       Be careful not to damage the rear speed sensor.

12. REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB AND BEARING ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

       for Torsion Beam Type Suspension:Click here

       for Double Wishbone Type Suspension:Click here

       Tip:

       • The rear speed sensor is a component of the rear axle hub and bearing assembly. If the rear speed sensor is malfunctioning, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.

       • If the sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace the rear axle hub and bearing assembly.
