FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY(for Power Seat) DISASSEMBLY

    Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

  • There is risk of injury.

  • If the front seat side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate type front seatback frame sub-assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.

  • Replace any other damaged parts as necessary.

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedures listed below are for LHD vehicles.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the front seat headrest assembly.

  2. REMOVE SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP LH

      Remove the 2 seat adjuster cover caps LH in the removal direction shown in the illustration.

  3. REMOVE POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB LH (for Slide and Vertical, Lifter)

      Using moulding remover A, push in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to detach the claw.

    2. Pull out removal direction shown in the illustration to remove the power seat switch knob LH.

  4. REMOVE POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB LH (for Reclining)

      Using moulding remover A, push in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to detach the claw.

    2. Pull out removal direction shown in the illustration to remove the power seat switch knob LH.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER NO. 1 CUSHION SHIELD LH

      Remove the screw.

    2. Pull out the removal direction shown in the illustration to detach the guide and remove the front seat inner No. 1 cushion shield LH.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

      Using moulding remover A, lift up in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to detach the claw.

      Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration and pull out the removal direction to detach the guide and claw.

      Using needle-nose pliers, detach the clip.

      Disconnect the connector and detach the wire harness clamp.

      Disconnect the connector.

      Disconnect the connector.

    9. Detach the connector clamp and guide.

      Pull up the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to detach the 2 claws, and remove the front seat cushion shield LH.

  7. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH

      Using moulding remover A, lift up in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration and push down in the removal direction to detach the claw.

      Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration and pull out the remove direction to detach the claw and guide to remove front seat inner cushion shield LH.

  9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

  10. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the band in the position shown in the illustration.

      *1 Wire Harness Clamp

      w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. Detach the wire harness clamp.

      2. Disconnect the connector.

      *2 Connector Clamp

      w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:


      1. Detach the wire harness clamp and connector clamp.

      1. Detach the wire harness clamp.

      2. Disconnect the wire harness connector.

      1. Detach the wire harness clamp.

      1. Detach the wire harness clamp.

      2. Disconnect the wire harness connector.

      Disconnect the connector and detach the guide.

      *1 Separate Type Front Seat Cushion Cover

      Detach the hook.

      Remove the 4 bolts and front seatback frame sub-assembly LH.

  11. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

      Rotate the part in removal direction (1) shown in the illustration to detach the guide.

    2. Pull up in removal direction (2) shown in the illustration to remove the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  12. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  13. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SEATBACK HOOK (w/ Front No. 1 Seatback Hook)

      Using moulding remover A, lift in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration removal to detach the claw and remove the front No. 1 seatback hook.

  14. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

      Remove the 6 hog rings.

      Open the fasteners as shown in the illustration.

      Pull out removal direction shown in the illustration to detach the claw and remove the 2 front seat headrest supports.

  15. REMOVE SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD


    1. w/ Front Seat Side Airbag, for Type B:


      1. Place your hand at the position shown in the illustration and pull in the removal direction to detach the J hook B.

      2. Remove the rivet to J hook B.

        Tech Tips


        • Only remove one of the rivets.


        • For LH seats, remove the top rivet.


        • For RH seats, remove the bottom rivet.

        Pull up the removal direction shown in the illustration to detach the J hook C to J hook B (J hook A and J hook B).

  16. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

      Remove the 12 hog rings.

  17. REMOVE SEAT COVER WIRE

      Remove the seat cover wire.

  18. REMOVE FRONT SEAT NO. 2 WIRE LH

      Detach the wire harness clamp.

    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the front seat No. 2 wire LH.

  19. REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

  20. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SEATBACK HOOK

      Detach the claw on the 2 front No. 2 seatback hooks.

    2. Pull in the removal direction shown in the illustration to remove the 2 front No. 2 seatback hooks.

  21. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Detach the claw and remove the 2 front seatback edge protectors.

      Pull out removal direction (1) shown in the illustration to separate the front seatback spring sub-assembly LH.

    3. Pull down removal direction (2) shown in the illustration to remove the front seatback spring sub-assembly LH.

    4. Remove the 2 front No. 2 seatback hooks.

  22. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK EDGE PROTECTOR

      B00692L Protective Tape

      Using a thin-bladed screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, detach the claw and remove the 2 front seatback edge protectors.

  23. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD


    1. While sliding the part in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, detach the J hook and remove the seat cushion cover with pad.

  24. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

      Remove the 2 hog rings and disconnect the 2 straps of the separate type front seat cushion cover from the separate type front seat cushion pad.

    2. B0025V0

      Remove the 18 hog rings and separate type front seat cushion cover.

  25. REMOVE SEAT COVER WIRE

      Remove the seat cover wire.

  26. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH

      Remove the screw.

    2. Pull out removal direction shown in the illustration to detach the guide.

      Lift up removal direction (1) shown in the illustration to detach the clip.

    4. Pull out removal direction (2) shown in the illustration to remove the front seat cushion lower shield LH.

  27. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  28. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH

      Remove the screw.

    2. While rotating the part in removal direction (1) shown in the illustration, detach the claw.

    3. Pull out removal direction (2) shown in the illustration to detach the guide and remove the front seat cushion edge protector LH.

  29. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  30. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE LH

      *1 Wire Harness Clamp
      *2 Connector Clamp

      Detach the wire harness clamp and connector clamp.

    2. Disconnect the 3 connectors.

  31. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SPRING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Pull out removal direction (1) shown in the illustration to detach the hook.

    2. While rotating the part in removal direction (2) shown in the illustration, detach the hook and remove the front seat cushion spring sub-assembly LH.
