    1. If any of the following codes is recorded, the TCM enters the fail-safe mode.

      Tip:
      • The TCM identifies the actual transaxle gear position through the signals from the shift stroke sensor and select stroke sensor.

      • The TCM identifies the shift lever position through the signal from the shift lever position sensor.
