EGR COOLER(w/ EGR System) REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

    1. Remove the intake manifold (Click hereClick here).

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS PIPE

      Disconnect the No. 4 water by-pass hose.

    2. Disconnect the hose and remove the 2 bolts and No. 2 water by-pass pipe.

  3. DISCONNECT NO. 8 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

  4. DISCONNECT NO. 11 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 EGR PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE EGR COOLER ASSEMBLY

    1. A231399

      Remove the 2 bolts and EGR cooler.

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 EGR PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. A214296

      Remove the 2 bolts, No. 2 EGR pipe and gasket.

      Note:

      Be careful not to damage the surfaces that contact the gasket.
