BACK DOOR LOCK INSPECTION
PROCEDURE
INSPECT BACK WINDOW LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/ Entry and Start System)
Check the operation of the window lock motor.

Open (Unlock)

Component without harness connected
(Back Window Lock Assembly)
Move the window lock to the close (lock) position.
Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the window lock motor.
OK
Battery Connection
Result
Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (ACT+)
Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 (ACT-)
Back window lock motor open (unlock) operation
If the result is not as specified, replace the back window lock assembly.

Check the operation of the back window courtesy switch.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

10 kΩ or higher

Open (Unlocked)
Below 1 Ω
If the result is not as specified, replace the back window lock assembly.
INSPECT BACK DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Wireless Door Lock Control System)
Check the operation of the lock actuator motor.

Move the lock actuator to the close (lock) position.
Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the lock actuator motor.
OK
Battery Connection
Result
Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1 (ACT+)
Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2 (ACT-)
Back door lock actuator motor open (unlock) operation
Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 (ACT-)
Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 (ACT+)
Back door lock actuator motor close (lock) operation
If the result is not as specified, replace the back door lock actuator assembly.

INSPECT GLASS HATCH LOCK SWITCH ASSEMBLY
Check the operation of the lock switch.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
