PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE QUICK HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ PTC Heater)

      B0069FO Remove in this Direction

      Remove the screw and heater cover.

  2. REMOVE HEATER COVER (w/o PTC Heater)

      B0069FO Remove in this Direction

      Remove the screw and heater cover.

  3. REMOVE BLOWER ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

      Detach the claw and clamp and remove the air conditioning duct sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)


    1. w/o Rear Duct:


      1. Disconnect the 3 connectors.

      2. Detach the clamp and remove the air conditioning harness assembly.

    2. w/ Rear Duct:


      1. Disconnect the 4 connectors.

      2. Detach the clamp and remove the air conditioning harness assembly.

  6. REMOVE AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY

      for Automatic Air Conditioning System:

      Remove the bolt and air conditioning amplifier assembly.

    2. A01WBF0C02
      B0069FO Remove in this Direction

      for Manual Air Conditioning System, for Manual Cooler System:

      Remove the bolt and air conditioning amplifier assembly.

      Remove the 3 screws and air conditioning amplifier bracket.

  7. REMOVE DEFROSTER DAMPER CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Air Conditioning System, for Manual Cooler System)

      Detach the claw and remove the defroster damper control cable sub-assembly.

  8. REMOVE AIR MIX DAMPER CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Air Conditioning System)

      Detach the claw and remove the defroster damper control cable sub-assembly.

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System)

      Remove the 3 screws and No. 1 air conditioning radiator damper servo sub-assembly.

  10. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CONDITIONING RADIATOR DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System, w/ Rear Duct)

      Remove the 2 screws and No. 2 air conditioning radiator damper servo sub-assembly.

  11. REMOVE HEATER RADIATOR UNIT SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Air Conditioning System, Manual Air Conditioning System)

      Remove the packing.

    2. A01WBAH

      Detach the claw and remove the heater clamp.

    3. A01WBL7

      Remove the 2 screws and heater radiator cover.

      Remove the heater radiator unit sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  12. REMOVE COOLER EXPANSION VALVE


    1. A01WBM1

      Using a 4 mm hexagon socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts and cooler expansion valve.

    2. Remove the 2 O-rings from the No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly.

  13. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER EVAPORATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Cooler System)


    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the upper heater case from the lower heater case.

    3. A01WA4N

      Detach the connector clamp.

    4. Remove the No. 1 cooler evaporator sub-assembly together with the No. 1 cooler thermistor from the upper heater case.

  14. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER THERMISTOR (w/ Cooler System)
