      Apply battery voltage to the connector and check that map light comes on.

      Battery negative (-) → 3 (E)

      Map light switch ON position

      Map light comes on

      Map light switch OFF position

      Map light off

      Battery positive (+) → 2 (B)

      Battery negative (-) → 4 (CTY)

      Map light switch DOOR position

      Map light comes on

      Map light switch OFF position

      Map light off

      If the result is not as specified, replace the bulb or map light assembly.
