PROCEDURE
INSPECT FUEL SUCTION TUBE WITH PUMP AND GAUGE ASSEMBLY

(Fuel Suction Tube with Pump and Gauge Assembly)
Check the resistance.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

If the result is not as specified, replace the fuel suction tube with pump and gauge assembly.

Check the operation.
Connect the positive (+) lead of the battery to terminal 4 of the connector, and the negative (-) lead to terminal 5. Check that the fuel suction tube with pump and gauge assembly operates.
Note:Perform this test within 10 seconds to prevent the coil from burning out.
Keep the fuel suction tube with pump and gauge assembly as far away from the battery as possible.
Always switch the voltage on and off at the battery side, not the fuel suction tube with pump and gauge assembly side.
If the fuel suction tube with pump and gauge assembly does not operate, replace the fuel suction tube with pump and gauge assembly.
