REAR AIRBAG SENSOR(w/ Rear No. 2 Seat) INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Tip:
  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

  1. INSTALL REAR AIRBAG SENSOR LH

    1. B223180

      Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    3. Install the rear airbag sensor with the bolt.

      9.0 N*m

      92 kgf*cm

      80 in.*lbf

      Note:
      • If the rear airbag sensor has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case, bracket or connector, replace it with a new one.

      • When installing the rear airbag sensor, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not pinched between other parts.

    4. Check that the rear airbag sensor is not loose.

    5. Connect the connector.

  3. INSTALL LUGGAGE HOLD BELT STRIKER ASSEMBLY

  4. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE SERVICE HOLE COVER

  5. INSTALL FRONT DECK SIDE TRIM COVER LH

  6. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

  7. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  8. INSTALL REAR DECK TRIM COVER

  9. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY

  10. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT TRACK COVER

  11. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER

  12. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE BELT HOLE COVER LH

  13. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE BELT HOLE COVER RH

  14. INSTALL DECK FLOOR BOX LH

  15. INSTALL DECK FLOOR BOX RH

  16. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRAY (w/ Spare Tire)

  17. INSTALL DECK RAIL COVER (w/o Spare Tire)

  18. INSTALL DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY

  19. INSTALL TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Tonneau Cover)

  20. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click here).

  21. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

    1. Check the SRS warning light (Click here).
