CONDENSER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

    for HFC-134a (R134a):

  2. REMOVE THERMISTOR ASSEMBLY

  3. REMOVE FRONT UPPER BUMPER SUPPORT

  4. REMOVE NO. 1 RADIATOR SIDE AIR SEAL

    1. E295476

      Remove the clip.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws and remove No. 1 radiator side air seal.

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR SIDE AIR SEAL

    1. E295465

      Disengage the 3 claws and remove No. 2 radiator side air seal.

  6. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. E295160

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge hose sub-assembly from the cooler condenser assembly.

    2. Remove the 2 O-rings from the discharge hose sub-assembly.

      Note:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  7. DISCONNECT AIR CONDITIONER TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly from the cooler condenser assembly.

    2. Remove the 2 O-rings from the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

      Note:

      Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

  8. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY

    1. E295851

      Remove the 2 bolts from the cooler condenser assembly.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the cooler condenser assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Note:

      Do not damage the condenser or radiator when removing the cooler condenser assembly.
