OIL COOLER REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER (for 1ZR-FAE)

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER (for 8NR-FTS)

  3. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH (for 1ZR-FAE)

  4. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH (for 8NR-FTS)

  5. DRAIN CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID

  6. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for 1ZR-FAE)

    Click here

  7. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (for 8NR-FTS)

    Click here

  8. DISCONNECT NO. 5 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

    1. C289707

      Slide the 2 clips and disconnect the No. 5 water by-pass hose from the transmission oil cooler.

  9. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER

    1. C289708

      Remove the 3 bolts and transmission oil cooler from the transaxle case.

    2. Remove the 2 O-rings from the transmission oil cooler.
