CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE NOT INVOLVED IN COLLISION)

   1. Perform a diagnostic system check (Click here).

2. CHECK CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG HAS NOT DEPLOYED)

   1. Perform a diagnostic system check (Click here).

3. CHECK CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG HAS DEPLOYED)

   1. Replace the center airbag sensor.

      CAUTION:

      For removal and installation of the center airbag sensor, be sure to follow the correct procedure.

      Tip:

      The center airbag sensor should be replaced after any of the airbags has deployed, as it has been subjected to an impact.
