REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during rear seat outer belt assembly removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:


    • Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    • If an airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious injury.

  13. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the bolt to disconnect the floor anchor of the rear seat outer belt assembly LH.

      Disengage the 2 claws and 2 guides to remove the rear seat shoulder belt hole cover.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the other rear seat shoulder belt hole covers.

  17. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/o Rear Sunshade)


    1. Fold the rear seatback assembly LH and rear seatback assembly RH forward.

      Remove the 2 clips.

    3. B0085XZ

      Disengage the 3 clips and 5 guides.

    4. Pass the 3 rear seat belt floor anchors through the package tray trim panel assembly then remove the package tray trim panel assembly.

  18. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Sunshade)

      Disengage the 3 clips.

    2. Pass the 3 rear seat belt floor anchors through the package tray trim panel assembly then remove the package tray trim panel assembly.

  19. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

      *a Protective Tape
      *b Locking Button
      *c Release

      Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. B0088C6

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    3. Disengage the guide to remove the rear seat outer belt assembly LH.

  20. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.
